Living a healthy life in Japan has great importance. Being in bad health can be a very shameful experience for the Japanese, and great care is take. To approach the patient and the patient's family about illness.


Medicine: Traditional Japanese healing Involves using a variety of different forms of medicine from the West. Today that is commonly particles in Japan. There are several different forms of this type of healing. Which include Kampo, which uses a variety of different herbs to restore the flow of something the Japanese believe in called Qi. "Qi" roughly translate to the body's energy. Another method of healing includes Shiatsu Massage which is uses different amounts of pressure on specific areas on the body. This also is believed to restore the flow of Qi, which will help the patient heal. Acupuncture is also commonly practiced.
