Hospitals and Sickness: If you happen to catch a common cold in Japan, you are required to practically do everything a normal healthy person with would do, but you are also required to wear a mask to prevent others from getting sick and having the sickness spread. If you catch the flu however, you are then allowed to stay home or take a day off of work. Sever sicknesses and chronic illnesses are taken to the hospital.
