Founded in 1866 by ex-confederate soldiers, the Ku Klux Klan was a band of white southerners who used intimidation and violence to denounce immigrants.
Though it's original formation would soon become sparse, it would later regain it's strength in 1915.
The first sign of the rebirth, was a burning cross on the top of a mountain, lit by Colonel William Joseph Simmons.
