Triggers of the Rebirth

In Early February of 1916, the American silent drama film, The Birth of a Nation, premiered. The film discouraged black men and their actions while it promoted the KKK, portraying them as heroic figures.

This caused an uproar among society and inspired the revival of the KKK. Only this time they broadened their targets. They now not only victimized blacks but also Catholics, Jews and foreigners.
