KKK Recruitment

In 1921 the Klan began a modern business system of recruiting. Individuals called kleagles, were responsible for the recruitment system.

They used tactics of social and political strengths by promoting "100 percent Americanism" and potential benefits for all white native-born Protestants.

Easily swayed by these tactics, people eagerly joined and the nation watched as the KKK became larger and more powerful.
