In The Midst of the Armenian Genocide

Those who survived the death marches were put into concentration camps like Deir ez-Zor located in Syria.

➡️They received treatment similar to the concentration camps of the Holocaust.

➡️They were starved, beaten, and murdered. They were also gassed; a similar method the Jews faced a few years later.

➡️Some weren't sent to concentration camps. In Trebizond they were loaded on ships and thrown overboard into the Black Sea.

➡️When the genocide ended only about 300,000 Armenians remained in Turkey.
