Noah 80 years old lives in the nursing home(Creekside Extended Care home) with his wife who does not remember him due to Alzheimer’s. He wrote in a notebook of their love story and reads it to her every. In the story Noah is 31, rural Southerner returned home from World War II. He decides to restore a plantation home to its former glory, but everyday he is heart broken over a beautiful girl he met seven years earlier. Unable to find her, yet unwilling to forget the summer they spent together, Noah is content to live with only memories, until she unexpectedly returns to his town to see him once again. When she comes back to him so does their love for each other.
