In this battle at Saratoga there were many different generals who led this battle. They were on both sides. Some generals were with the British and some were on the American side. Some of the Generals who led this battle and were on the American's side were: Horatio Gates, Benedict Arnold, and Daniel Morgan. Now I'll explain what their roles were and what they did during the war. Also how they were significant leaders during the war too. So, what Horatio Gates did in the war was he led the battle the American forces that were on that side went with their leader Horatio Gates. Another General from the American side went by the name Benedict Arnold and he was equally another leader of the American forces and he helped Horatio Gates and all the rest of the leaders of the American tribes. There were also even key commanders. One of them was known as Colonel Daniel Morgan. Another one was known as General Enoch Poor. What their role was, was that they had to help the other leaders around them and help their army to become better. All they had to do was follow the leader and help the army to become better. They wanted to make America have all the wins. Now some British leaders were: General John Burgoyne, John Stark, John Freeman. What they did in the battle was they were leaders of it same as the American leaders but were just on a different side though. General John Burgoyne was a leader of the British side and he helped his army to win the war and what strategies to use. What John stark did was that he challenged the first battle at Saratoga. He actually led it too. John freeman was also a leader who led at Freeman's farm and he led in Bemis Heights too.
