British Travel To Albany
The British decide to travel to Albany. Burgoyne was told to meet at Albany with another general named William Howe. William Howe was the leading general at Long Island. The British were on there way to Albany. American forces found out and they hatched a plan. They decided to prevent this by blocking Burgoyne's army. They started marching to Burgoyne's army's pathway and finally at one point, collided, ten miles from the Saratoga county.

British are Stopped
The British were marching on their way to Albany. Americans troops come and block them at Freeman's Farm, 10 miles from Saratoga. A battle started there on September 19th, 1777. The battle wasn't going so good for the British. Burgoyne struggled as he lost so many men at the moment. Burgoyne started losing 2 men per 1 for the Americans, and the continental army was gaining strength in the war. Things were going great for the Americans until the last moment, when everything turned upside down. There was an arrival.
