This battle was a very good battle for the Americans. Thanks to this, many Americans received hope and joined the army. Things were going good. Burgoyne just surrendered 6222 men. For the Americans, 90 died, 240 were wounded and none were captured. But this was nothing to the British. They suffered 440 dead, 695 wounded and but of course, 6222 captured and lost. At first, it seemed like Americans didn't even stand a chance. But Americans changed that. They changed it to the fact that Americans were something to the British. They still continued to change that after the new strategy at Long Island, a quick win at Trenton and now, Bemis Heights. They now realized they had a chance of winning the war. John Burgoyne returned to England as a disgrace and things were going in America's way. America was soon to be an independent country.
