Operation Anthropoid

• Code name for the plan to assassinate Nazi Reinhard Heydrich in 1942.

• One of his assassins, Josef Gabcik, tried to kill him, but his gun jammed.

• The other assassin, Jon Kubic threw a grenade near Heydrich's car, it blew up and embedded pieces of metal into Heydrich's body.

• Josef and Jon thought that their plan didn't work, but Heydrich was in the hospital and then a few days later he died of an infection.
