Operation Entebbe

• Carried out by Israeli defense forces on July 4,1976.

• This was rescue of 248 people from an Air France plane.

• The plane was hijacked by the popular front for the liberation of Palestine.

• Took only 35 minutes, the commandos caught and killed the hijackers.

• 3 hostages, 1 Israeli commandos and 20 Ugandan soldiers.
