Operation Greif

• During the early stages of the Battle of the Bulge in December 1944.


• Lead by Otto Skorzeny


• A secret mission to wreck havoc on allied communication and morale.


• Skorzeny disguised a group of soldiers of English-speaking Germans in U.S uniforms.


• they had forged U.S Army documents and sent to do undercover missions.


• In a few days the fake soldiers successfully directed and convoy traffic down wrong roads, destroyed ammunition dumps switched road signs and destroyed telephone lines.
