Checks and Balances

Checks and Balances- ensures that branches work together fairly, allowing each government branch to have checks over the other. These branches heavily rely on the other to perform government work.

Metaphor- Checks and Balances is like the human body. Just like how Checks and Balances rely on the other branches, in the human body, every system relies on the others in order to stay functional. Without the Digestive system to digest food, none of the other systems could function because you wouldn't have intestines. Without the Circulatory System, no blood would be pumped through the body, and everything would be clogged. So basically, every system needs one another in order to function, just like how each branch needs the other in Checks and Balances.
