Power is a chain in command, from the alpha to the conformed. Humans have that drive to be the one that calls the shots. For example, in the animal kingdom a lion pack always needs its alpha to dominate and lead the pack to obtain its necessities. Humans are individuals who need to stand out whether it is further represent an idea or the confidence boost of feeling above others.A voice deep within says something like: “This must happen!” or “This must stop!” or “Not on my watch!” or “This is for my family (or my team, or my community or my people or my nation).” Leadership arises from an injunction; an inner knowing; a determination that impels you to take action.People among with animals posses behaviors that make power what it is, it is a necessity if not deepest desire for some of us. After all what is better than being looked upon for any kind of important governmental or business decision. Power is for an elite few, making it even more rare and desirable. Which places this behavior or the idea of having the right of influence ever more important.
