Quebec Act
Summer, 1774
Extended the Province of Quebec southward to the Ohio River, cut off the claims of Ma., Connecticut, Viriginia, and NY. to their western lands. New government in the area established without an assembly and it gave special privileges to the Catholic Church. Massachusetts was upset and in addition, other major colonies started to get upset. The British established this act to get back at the colonists and prove they are the boss.
