Declaratory Acts

The British did not want the colonists to be able to say "no taxation without representation" so they created the Declaratory Acts. The Declaratory Acts allowed Parliament to make laws over the colonies to bind them and the people of America together. From this bold action, the colonists knew they were in trouble.
