The repetition of the phrase, "It ends tonight" throughout the song is showing his determination to end that relationship, while Macbeth who stated, "They have tied me to the stake; I cannot fly," is showing his acknowledgement of his upcoming death. Macbeth has fully taken it in, but decides to end his life in a fight.
