It End Tonight

By: The All-American Rejects

Track 6: "It Ends Tonight" by The All-American Rejects is about a failed relationship finally ending, though in Macbeth's case, could be about the ending of his reign. The word's, "I look at you with such disdain." would be Macbeth's discontent with the timing of Lady Macbeth's suicide. The repetition of the phrase, "It ends tonight" throughout the song is showing his determination to end that relationship, while Macbeth who stated, "They have tied me to the stake; I cannot fly," is showing his acknowledgement of his upcoming death. Macbeth has fully taken it in, but decides to end his life in a fight.
