      The affects of the conquest of Latin America affected the Native Americans greatly. Most of the Native American population had been drastically reduced due to the spreading of diseases, and hardships they undergo having to work in the plantation systems. Although there was a use of slavery for these plantation systems,the mix of cultures, blends of Spainiards, Portuguese, Native American and African, the establishment of farms and cattle ranches, and the many resources, they were able to establish the start of a nation, the Latin American countries slowly gaining their independence around the 1800s.
