Description: older man, beard, beret, dusty/dirty/worn out clothing, mouth open slightly, looking at something
Analysis: focus goes to his eyes and what they are looking at (which we unsure of). His figures make a triangle shape around himself. It is dark around the man and his face is much lighter, his a glowing feel to It. He places the man right in the center so both sides are equal beside the fact that the man draws your attention elsewhere

Bearded man with a beret
Judgement: I feel drawn into the work and subject because I would like tho know what this man was gazing at, if anything and also why the artist chose THIS specific man. I think the artist did a magnificent job at interesting the viewer in this piece and was very successful in communicating the content of the work. The painter keeps you guessing as to what the man is gazing at and why.
Interpretation: the artist depicted this man with a triangle shape around him almost and has the side the man is gazing at much darker than the rest of the painting. He shows the man's beard much lighter than the rest if the painting to create contrast and show as if there was a light coming from the left.
