Analysis: This artist shows the comes looking at him. The man beside her is appeared to be doing work of some kind. The painting gets darker the carter right you look. The light source is from the left. Their clothes are darker in contrast to the background.
Judgement: I think the artist shows the women's expression very well. The both of them are "sulking" and it is very clear. I also like the painting in the background of the horses and how the artist shows them in an office setting instead of just sitting around, for example at home.
Interpretation: The artist shows them sulking to create a nonchalant mood and very calm. He uses the work to show that they are in an office of some kind. He uses the light to dark when you look from left to right to show the light may be above the woman or closer to her. Their clothes are darker compared to the background to emphasize the characters themselves.
