misunderstood

Some children may be afraid to speak out about their foster parents because they're afraid to be known as "the freak without parents" , but they need to know people will be there to support them. I asked my friend emily if she had suddenly found out one of her close friends was a foster child, would it change her perspective of them. She said "no, because they're still the same person, they just have a different living environment than what i had originally thought; where they come from shouldn't have to affect who their friends are," i also asked her "if you suspected that this friend in foster care was being abused by their foster family, how would you react?" She responded by saying "i would definitely tell someone i trust who would know what to do in this situation to get my friend help."
