Putting The Coils Together/ Making The Pot

This is the most tedious part of creating your coil pot. Creating the coils was easy, but now you'll have to continuously score every side of them before putting them together. You will encounter many fails, and many teetering of your stack of coils. The most important thing to keep in mind is to not lose patience. The more patience you lose, the worse your cup is going to turn out.

Steps:
1.) Don't lose patience!!!
2.) Take your excess clay from earlier and wedge/roll out.
3.) Either take a tool and cut out a circle, or begin the process of placing your coils together
4.) Decide out, either on paper or in your head, the order or pattern of your coils
5.) Score every side that is touching another of your coils

6.) Be sure your coils are moist!
7.) Take your coils and set them side by side, with scored edges touching
8.) Begin placing the next coil on top (or in whatever pattern you had planned, being sure only the scored sides are together)
9.) If you want, you can also create a top rim by rolling out your extra clay again, and cutting out a circle
10.) Now score the bottom of your coils underneath and the outside edges of your bottom and place them together, gently pulling the clay from the bottom onto the coils
