Medical help during the Civil War.

During the war, doctor's were taken to the battlefield, so that if someone was wounded they could be taken to the hospital.

The hospital's were small open tents, that had 3 to 4 beds, that served as a placement for those who were wounded. The hospital would only hold those who were in a really bad condition.

Since the most famous injury was people wounded, they had to amputate the body place which was wounded, to prevent diseases . If the cause was not wounded, and only a bad cut or something similar to that, they would rub alcohol or chloroform, which were the best way of getting the person better from their problem.
