While working at the Mount Wilson observatory, Hubble helped invent the Hale Telescope which was four times more powerful than the Hooker telescope.
Hubble was made an Honorary Fellow of Queen's College in 1948
Edwin Hubble wrote two major works which are "The Observational Approach to Cosmology", and "The Realm of the Nebulae". He also was awarded several medals including the Bruce Medal and the Franklin Medal.
In 1990, The Hubble Scape Telescope was launched by NASA in honor of Edwin Hubble. This telescope takes deep space photos which are key in the study of the universe. Some photos are shown below.
