Plum pudding!
In 1897, an English physicist named J.J Thomson discovered the electron. He put forward the idea that this electron had a negative charge, and the 'matter,' had a positive charge.
The model he created looked like raisins stuck on a plum pudding, which is where the name of this model originated.
