Death &
Destruction

After the civil war had concluded the outcome was hard for the African Americans. Even though free, the African Americans were left out with no jobs, work, or even home. Not only were the "blacks" were left with nothing, the Southern soldiers came home from war with destruction and dust.

African Americans Results-

As hard as it was without a home or work. The "Blacks" found a way around it. They made a future for their children and grand-children. They were able to go to school, vote, and hold office. Yet some, "whites" were not satisfied to hear this good new. That was when they invented the "Black Codes." The codes were restrictions to them. As they found their way, some " whites" from the South created a group for anti-blacks, The K.K.K.

Southern Results-

After the Southerns surrendered, their home was destroyed. They worked hard to rebuild their Nation.
