Slavery Results-
-Wilmot Proviso
-Free-Soil Party
-Fugitive Slave Act

The runaway slaves had two fates. They would either be free or trashed. Every person had to take caution though, you will never know whether you would live or die. Yet, with the help of Northerns' you may just succeed as a runaway.

Slavery & Abolition

How did people feel about slavery in your part of the country? Who were the major players on the political scene? How was slavery or abolition portrayed in the news of the day?

It was a half and half battle. Some were against it and would work hard to free the black men. The others would find more ways to enforce the slaves.

The two major political scenes were the Northern free states (30 senators) and Southern slave states (30 senators).

The abolitions were portrayed differently towards everyone. If you were apart of the South, you are against it, blacks are your slaves.
