This painting by Camille Pissarro is an example of the human emotion happiness. You can see the obvious compound forms of houses and hills in the background, but the main focus is on the man or woman and their horse in the foreground. The many varying shapes of the painting are implied because of the texture made by the paintbrush. The countryside is way bigger in proportion to the two figures. This painting implies happiness because of the simplicity. It appears that the man is just taking in his surroundings on a morning stroll. First your focus is on the man and horse, but as his viewpoint goes to the hills, so does yours. The dark tree contrasts the other colors of the photo. The contrast between the tree and the rest of the picture brings unity to the painting. I think that this picture speaks happiness because the painter wants us to step away from our lives and see the little things in life as important too.
