ELECTION OF 1860

WHAT HAPPENED?

Abraham Lincoln and Stephen Douglas went against each other in this presidential election. Lincoln won, but Douglas put up a good fight. This was the first election the north "went against" the south.

They werent as happy as the north was about the new president, wouldve rather had Douglas won.

NORTH

They were happy with this election with Lincoln being president.

SOUTH
