John Browns Raid on Harpers Ferry

John Brown wanted to start the revolution by putting guns into black slaves hands. Him and his men were called the "Secret Six" He seized the federal arsenal Oct. 1859 - Killed 7 innocent people including a free black. He was later hung for his doings.

WHAT HAPPENED

NORTH

They were infuriated by his murder. They supported him and gave him thousands of dollars for weaponry and supported his decisions.

SOUTH

They were furious with him and his plans, they were the ones who had had him killed.
