The people that were for slavery used the bible to defend their believes, and it stated that the servants have to listen to their owners. They also believed that the blacks benefitted from being slaves because the could be apart of the Christian community. Slave owners made it seem that they had a very happy family, and loved having the addition of the slave, but in reality they were lying.
