Juli Misjudging Bryce's Past Self

Throughout the beginning of the novel, Juli has this gigantesque crush on Bryce, but it is only because he is handsome. She misjudged this attractive appearance and creates this fantasy in her mind of this sweet and perfect boy who does not find anything wrong with her. It starts off with when Bryce first comes to the neighborhood. Juli has no friends because there is no one her age around. Her desperation to have a friend leads her to be kind to Bryce causing her to have a crush on him. When she was thinking about him after the first time she met him, she gawked," Honestly, one look at him and I became a lunatic. It's his eyes. Something in his eyes. They're blue, and framed in the blackness of his lashes, they're dazzling. Absolutely breathtaking."Her crush on him led her to even whisper answers to him without even realizing he found her annoying and did not truly appreciate what she was doing for him. After that, she started giving free eggs to his family without even realizing how Bryce threw them all out. Bryce judged her yard and how she had poop all over it to make the decision of throwing out the eggs. If Juli did not find him attractive, then she would never have misjudged him or given him the free eggs.
