Forces

Balanced forces:
When two equal forces are applied in opposite directions


Unbalanced forces:
When two unequal forces are applied to an object and cause it to move

2.) Gravity Force- The force of gravity is the force with which the earth, moon, or other massively large object attracts another object towards itself.

Gravity effects all objects on Earth.

4.) Friction Force- The force caused by the movement of an object on top of another. The material of the one on bottom creates a restriction of the speed of the one on top.

Friction effects all objects that are in motion.

3.) Applied Force- An applied force is a force that is applied to an object by a person or another object.

Applied force effects all objects in different ways: if an object is in motion then it will accelerate in the direction or stop, if an object is at rest it will cause it to move in the direction the force is exerted, if the object is floating or sinking it will cause it to move in the direction of force.

5.) Normal Force- The normal force is the support force exerted upon an object that is in contact with another stable object.

Normal force affects objects at rest or that are leaning against something at a horizontal angle.

It is most noticeable for objects that travel at high speeds or for objects with large surface areas.
