Seasons

FALL-WINTER-SPRING-SUMMER

FALL

What makes fall:
Leaves: The leaves change color due to the trees food-processing shutting down in preparation for winter. Chlorophyll stops being made.
Fall is usually warm yet cool, there isn't much sunlight, but a lot of clouds. It typically starts out warmer and gets cooler as the Earth tilts.

WINTER

What makes winter:
Winter is generally very cold. There is mostly only light that shines through the clouds. In most places, snow showers occur very often, and the trees all look dead. (When really they are just "hibernating" and eating the food they stored in fall.)The days are shorter in this season.

Spring

What makes spring:
Spring is the season for tornados, thunderstorms, and wind storms. The sunlight is bright but not always very warm. Depending on where you live, the days could be very warm or very chilly. The days gradually grow longer. All of the plants bloom and prepare for summer.

Summer

What makes summer:
Summer is typically very hot and sunny. The days are longest in this season. The amount of sunlight is at its peek, and the air is very warm. Summer has a lot of flowers and green trees.

Seasons occur due to the tilt of the Earth's axis. The rotation of the Earth causes different temperatu-res and amount of sunlight.
