A- The membrane involved is the pleura, which is associated with the lungs. B- Their usual role is to protect and lubricate the surface of the lungs. C- The condition is so painful because when these membranes become inflamed they rub against each other, causing pain in the chest when breathing coughing and sneezing.
4. Is being thirsty part of the negative of positive feedback control system?
Being thirsty is part of a negative feedback control because when the proper levels of water are not present in the body the brain senses a imbalance causing the brain to send out a signal of thirst to the body.
