Levels of Structural Organization
Chemical level at this level atoms the building blocks of matter combined to make molecules, these molecules when combined together form organelles, which make up cells. This connects to the Cellular level, cells carry out functions in the body, however more complexed the organism require more cells that together form Tissue. The Tissue level is a group of cells that have a common function. There are four basic types of tissue: epithelium, muscle, connective, and nervous. Tissues combined together to form the Organ level, at this level complex functions can take places. Organs are comprised of at least 2-4 tissue types. The next level is The Organ system, this is made up of organs that work together to accomplish a similar purpose. The last level the Organismal level is the working together of all the different levels to promote life.
