His Return

-Upon returning to France De Paul then moved to Rome and continued his studies

- Took under his spiritual leader, Abbé de Berulle who helped him grow and develop his priesthood. 

- In 1612 he was named pastor of Saint Medard in Clichy 

- But he was soon hired to serve as the private chaplain of the high class, powerful Gondi family
