Early Life

- Saint Vincent De Paul was born third out of 6 children, from peasant parents : Jean and Bertrande de Paul

- His job was to help and tend to the animals on the farm 

- As a child he showed intelligence and a caring heart : although he himself was poor, if he saw a poor man and he was in possession of anything he would share what he had 

- Despite his poor background, Vincent's parents, through many sacrifices, decided to allow Vincent an education outside of their farm
