Why Him?

I chose Saint. Vincent de Paul, because it was a name I was familiar with. Although I didn't know much, I knew of him and I wanted to know more. I found it interesting that he came from poor beginnings and he ended up dedicating his life to helping those of poor standings. 

Because of his work St. Vincent de Paul is considered the patron saint of charitable causes and is celebrated on his feast day of September 27 and still remembered and appreciated in today's society.
