Minerals

Minerals- Minerals are the building blocks of rocks. The reason they are is because minerals make rocks. Some examples of minerals are Calcite, Feldspar, Hornblende, Mica, Pyrite and Quartz. Quartz can come in different types of colors. Some of the colors are rose, white or purple. Quartz can also be colorless. Feldspar makes up half of Earth's crust. Feldspar can be many colors. Mica can be peeled into thin sheets. Usually Mica is black or clear. It can also be brown or purple.
