3.🌸 In many food webs there is more there is more competition for different animals

Page twelve

When one animal's population changes the rest can change (for example). In the 1800's to many sea otters were killed for their fur. Without many sea otters in food webs there were less sea urchins eaten. Soon their were too many sea urchins being born. But sea urchin's diets were to eat kelp but many small fish eat kelp. So sea urchins were taking up all the kelp. These small fish were to sea stars and crabs. So then sea stars and crabs couldn't survive. Mussels depend on kelp to survive. Fewer mussels meant less crabs and small fish. After a whole even decomposers couldn't survive. So without the sea otters the sea was unbalanced.
