Question: what is an ecosystem?
Answer: there are nonliving and living things everywhere and every day they interact. All the interacting parts in a environment is what makes up an ecosystem. There are many ecosystems large and small such as redwood forests or a pond ecosystems large or small are made up of nonliving and living things. Biotic factors are living things that make up the ecosystems. Abiotic factors are the nonliving things that make up an ecosystem.

Question: what is a desert ecosystem?
Answer: let's say you don't know where you are then you can identify your surroundings. Then you hold the soil and it is dry and it crumbles. There are also less plants and animals. Where can you be? You at standing in the desert. There are many desert ecosystems all over the world. They have similar features but they also have different features. They can be cold or hot. They can be full of life or lifeless. California's Mojave desert is very hot and it is also home for hundreds of plants and animals. They have to depend on having a small amount of water. Why? In the Mojave desert out of the whole year the average amount of water is five inches.
