When Bruno and his family arrived at their new house, Bruno already didn't like the look of it. How went to his room to unpack, and he noticed a window and looked out of it. What he saw was a concentration camp where Jews are kept. Of course at the time Bruno didn't know what a concentration camp was and called it a farm. He told his mother about the "farm" and asked if he could play with the children over there. She said yes, but later that day she looked out of his window and saw the camp and told him that he shouldn't go anywhere near that place.
