Bruno asked Shmuel what is it like inside the farm and why does everyone wear striped pajamas. Shmuel told him that it wasn't a farm and that the soldiers took away all of their other clothes and belongings. Bruno asked why, but Shmuel didn't know. After a while they heard an alarm, and Shmuel said that he had to go. They said goodbye and Bruno went back home and was excited to tell his parents about his new friend. But as he got closer to the house, he thought it would be a good idea to not tell his parents about Shmuel.
