One day Bruno's parents told him that his grandmother had died, and that they were going back to Berlin for a few days to attend the funeral. They are going to stay in the same house they used to live in. When they got to Berlin, Bruno wasn't as excited as he thought he would be. Instead he felt sad, and wanted to go back to his other house and talk to Shmuel. After the funeral, they went back and Bruno told Shmuel that he was glad to be back.
