The next day Bruno went back to the fence and saw Shmuel there waiting for him. Bruno went up to the fence and gave Shmuel some bread to eat. While Shmuel was eating Bruno told him all about Berlin, and how he had a five story house, and how he used to slide down the banister, and how Martin and Karl and Daniel were his three best friends for life. Shmuel's story was way different compared to Bruno's story. He used to live a normal life when all of a sudden he got home one day and his parents were packing, just like Bruno's parents. They moved to a small house with only one room' and they had eleven people in that tiny room. A few months later they arrived at the camp.
