After a while Bruno got bored of just playing on the tire swing, so he decided to do some exploring. He snuck out and started walking toward the fence which separated his house and the concentration camp. When he got to the fence he saw a young boy sitting cross legged on the dirt. Bruno walked over and said hi. The boy also said hi. Bruno asked his name and how old he was. He said his name was Shmuel and he was nine just like Bruno. They also found out that they were born on the exact same day.
