Hughes

Langston Hughes was born February 1, 1902 and died May 22, 1967.

Later in his childhood, his parents got divorced and his life was turned around. He also had a very or relationship with his father.

"The younger Negro artists who create now intend to express our individual dark-skinned selves without fear or shame."

In his writing, it is a character like him that is the speaker. The occasion tends to be a groovy, yet largely outcasted environment that is targeted at people like him. The purpose is to have pride in African-American culture, but also to create change.

He wrote "The Crisis", and is known for his jazz-styled poetry.

He did not have an outstanding educating, but did graduate from "The grammar school".
