Twain

Samuel Langhorne Clemens was born November 30, 1835 and died April 21, 1910.

He had an interest in African Americans communicating with White people

Twain didn't live lavishly, he wrote based on a lot of his own experiences

Twain didn't get much of an education, he dropped out of school at fifth grade and began working at the printing press.

"Get you facts first, then you can distort them as you please."

Twain uses humor to mask his underlying theme of truth and moral integrity.
